Welcome to Komodo Craft , today we will learn how to make Natural Disaster 3D Model Spinning Tornado Model for a School Project
we’ll show you how to make a working tornado model using simple materials like OHP sheets, cotton, cardboard, thermocol, and a gear motor. This DIY tornado model is perfect for school science exhibitions,
🎯 Materials needed
- OHP Sheets
- Cotton
- Thermocol Sheet (for base )
- Cardboard (for support base)
- Gear Motor ( for create spinning effect)
- Glue Gun / Adhesive
- Scissors / Cutter
- Battery or Power Source
🔧 Step-by-Step for making Tornado/Cyclone model for school project
1. Prepare the Base
First we will cut thermocol and cardboard for making base for model. Glue the cardboard over the thermocol to create a flat base for model
2. Build the Tornado/Cyclone Structure
then we will cut the OHP sheet into a cone shap funnel of a tornado. Attach one end of the OHP cone to the base and the other to a central rotating shaft attached to the gear motor.
3. Add Cotton
Stick cotton around the top of the funnel to create a cloudy look effect.
4. Install the Gear Motor
Fix the gear motor at the center of the base. Attach the tornado structure (OHP funnel) to the motor shaft so that it spins when powered. This simulates the rotating motion of a real tornado.
5. Power Up
Connect your gear motor to a power source (battery or adapter). Once powered, your tornado model will start spinning, demonstrating the swirling motion of a real tornado!
